

The prevention of breast cancer, like in all cancers starts with a healthy diet. There are not super foods that you could eat and get healthy, it is the combination of a diet rich in fruits and vegetables with whole grain bread or pasta. In the International Journal of Cancer, a team of cancer researchers from the University of Western Australia in Perth showed that their consumption can lower the risk of breast cancer about 80-90% compared to the women who do not consumed either. Interestingly, these two foods are a common part of the traditional Chinese diet where breast cancer is 5 times less frequent than Western countries. The study also showed that the fresh mushrooms were more potent than the dry ones. Get the fresh ones at your groceries store than the pills variety. First they are a lot cheaper, second they are more potent and finally they are a lot tastier. The same is true about green tea where the active ingredients are better conserved in the leaves.
