Lance Armstrong’s complete recovery from cancer was a miracle. By reviewing the book: It’s not about the bike: My Journey Back to Life, find out how he beat cancer against all odds. The doctor did give him 3% chance of survival, but to keep Lance’s hope, he told him a 50/50 chance. That very poor prognostic was in relation to the metastatic cancer in the brain. He received a brain surgery before his cancer therapy and the odd thing was that his brain cancer, actually two, was already dead. His journey was so enlightening that Lance created the Live Strong foundation to help others to cure their cancer as he did.
What killed them, the doctors did not know, was probably related to a change in Lance’s routine. That change came before his cancer treatment and that was the diet that his mother made for him after an appointment with a nutritionist. She gave a list of foods compatible with the chemotherapy drugs: a lot of free-range chicken, broccoli, no cheeses or other fats, and a lot of vitamin C to help combat the toxins of chemo. In that list, one component strikes me as responsible for the death of brain cancer cells and it is broccoli.
If you want to find out more about broccoli go to functional food broccoli.
