What’s a great way to enjoy the nice weather? A BBQ or a cookout of course! It will also be a perfect time to de-stress and to re-bond with friends and family. You can have it on a beautiful moonlit night or any time you prefer. But you’re scared. The newspapers and the net have warned you that grilled burned meat turns into a carcinogenic nightmare. You might even decide to sell your grill set and skip it altogether. But what’s summer without a BBQ or a cookout?
Cancer research
The scientific fact is – high degree cooking turns your favorite meat into a carcinogenic piece of food. The high heat reacts with the protein in the meat and produces chemicals – heterocyclic amines – linked to cancer.
Solution at hand
Science has a way to solve this problem. This delightful news can make you jump with glee. You won’t need to sell your barbecue grill set after all. Most of all, you don’t need to forego that favorite BBQ of yours. You can have a fun time with your gang of friends and family. The secret is in how to prepare the meat. Marinate it!
Marinating the meat properly with ingredients containing antioxidants neutralizes the risk. It will taste even yummier and a lot tender.
Sauce recipe
Here’s how to do it:
Sauce ingredients:
Extra virgin olive oil (50 ml for every pound of meat)
100 ml wine ( red) or beer (stout, black or colored)
1 tsp rosemaryX
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ginger
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp regular grill spice
Preparation
For more zest, add tomato paste with finely sliced onions.
Mix all the ingredients together in a Tupperware.
Then marinate your steak or burger- chicken, pork or what’s left of you latest hunt or red meat. (You can eat ¼ pound of red meat a week.) Be sure to trim off extra fat.
Cover the Tupperware and refrigerate it for 24 hours.
The next day, show off your grilling skills. In the company of friends and family, take pleasure in the aroma and taste of your perfectly roasted meat. Lean back and relax. Cheers!
