This is the perfect example of the opposite of processed Food. In complete food, the texture and the envelope of the food is there.In processed food or refined food the peel or skin is dissolved or ground to get rid of it. This action takes out most of the vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals that we need as weapons to fight prostate cancer.

A good example

Bread, the 100% whole wheat bread vs processed white bread. The only element that is kept in the white wheat is the sugar because the flour is conserved a lot longer that way. However, since that sugar has not more matrix, our body absorbs them a lot faster which increases rapidly in the blood stream and thus more easily become available for tumor to feed on. The same is true about rice and corn. By keeping the shell and the germ you give yourself a lot more of that 3 base macro molecules: sugar, protein and fat.

The pleasure of Eating

Since processed foods are loaded with salt, we are left with very few options in that topic. We need salt to live and salt brings pleasure. The amount recommended is 1 tsp a day. But you get that in 1 meat at your favorite fast food restaurant. Furthermore, there is a sea salt called  ‘’fleur de sel’’ which has also other minerals.

Bottom line

Start with the bread. Change your white one and use the 100% wheat bread. First it is a lot more filling; after 2 slices your will feel like you ate something whereas myself after 6 slices of white bread: I am still hungry.
