It is like a race, we do not wait at the last round before starting running. If you find yourself with cancer, you’ll need extra effort to change your lifestyle. It might be a lot harder. As they say, prevention is much better than cure.

Everyone was concern about the latest news related to Rosie O’Donnell who had another breast cancer scare. The 48-year-old actress and comedienne recently underwent a biopsy of two lumps found on her breasts revealed the news in the form of a poem on her blog:


“Wednesday I had an MRI instead of a mammogram,” O’Donnell wrote 2 hours later the doctor who warned of false positives called to tell there were 2 spots but not to worry they looked innocent enough. My name is called,” she said. “A biopsy she tells me on the way back to the MRI tube. probably nothing. someone is holding my hand. another is rubbing my back. the dr is saying ‘only a few minutes – i am sorry it hurts’. it does not hurt me at all. i feel nothing but the love of strangers hands.” more…

fortunetellerWe fear cancer. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, that’s even worse. Out of desperation and hopelessness, people with cancer are vulnerable to try almost anything. They’ll try any unproven alternative remedies shoved under their noses in an effort to rid them of cancer. The fact is there are a lot of ballyhooed remedies that are useless. All you’ll see are salespeople having a nice day fleecing our money.
Well, we won’t just sit here and do nothing about this. Let’s enlighten us. Your best fighting chance is still the option of standard cancer regimen. And – this is crucial – stick to a diet of functional foods. The American Cancer Society recommends 5-10 servings of functional fruits and veggies a day. Couple this with exercise of at least 30 minutes daily. more…

Despite the advances in cancer research, cancer still scares and perplexes us. How do we get cancer? Most of us think it is in our horoscope and we’re doomed by the stars.
